Eagles hit with more injuries on defense
The Philadelphia Eagles got a double dose of bad news for their defense as coach Andy Reid confirmed this morning that rookie defensive end Brandon Graham, the team’s first-round draft pick from Michigan, will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL.
Graham was injured in the fourth quarter of the team’s 30-27 victory Sunday night at Dallas. He was the second defensive starter to go down as middle linebacker Stewart Bradley will miss at least the remainder of the regular season with a dislocated right elbow, his second serious injury in as many years. Bradley missed all last year with a torn ACL.
Graham had emerged as a productive rookie for the Eagles, and these are considerable losses for a defense that has already been thinned out at cornerback. Philadelphia needs to get cornerback Asante Samuel back from a sprained knee fast.
