Eagles WR Nelson Agholor investigated for alleged sexual assault at strip club

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholo has has been accused of sexually assaulting a dancer at a Philadelphia strip club. He hasn't been charged with a crime. The alleged assault took place Thursday afternoon at Cheerleaders Gentlemen's Club in South Philadelphia.

"We are aware of the police investigation involving Nelson Agholor," Derek Boyko, a spokesman for the Eagles, said in a statement. "The organization has been in contact with Nelson and with the proper authorities in Philadelphia. Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment."

"Once everybody investigates, I believe he will be exonerated," said Agholor's agent, Roosevelt Barnes. "They're going through the investigation now. It's a shame his name is out there in the media at this time." Follow me on Twitter: @Aaron Wilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
