Eli Manning upbeat about Giants' prospects

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is upbeat about the NFC East franchise's prospects.

After a disappointing season, Manning is hoping for a turnaround.

“It’s reenergized me,” Manning told the New York Daily News. “I’m trying to speed up the process of getting comfortable in the new system. I don’t have 10 years. I have a few months.”

Manning had ankle surgery this offseason, but is healthy now.

He's been working out in the hot summer weather in Louisiana.

“I kind of like getting in this heat,” he said. “It’s a good warmup.”
