Elway says Manning threw ball well
Denver Broncos vice president John Elway said the trip to Durham, N.C., to watch Peyton Manning work out was enjoyable.
Elway said on his Twitter feed, "We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C. He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there. Watching him throw today was the next step in this important process for our team and Peyton. It was a productive visit and went well."
The Broncos apparently offered Manning a $90 million package over five years, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post.
Manning, also according to reports, worked out last Tuesday for the San Francisco 49ers and took a physical on Wednesday before board a plane to visit the Tennessee Titans, who are in the running as well.
The 49ers jumped into the race for Manning under the radar as the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals were eliminated from consideration on Saturday.
Tennessee officials hope to watch Manning work out as well, although it might not come until early next week.
