Evan Mathis placed on IR-designated to return, Barbre out for season
The Philadlephia Eagles are banged-up.
They placed three players on injured reserve with Pro Bowl left guard Evan Mathis designated for return.
Mathis has a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee. He can come back as soon as the Eagles' Nov. 10 game against the Carolina Panthers.
Offensive lineman Allen Barbre (ankle) was placed on season-ending injury reserve as well as linebacker Najee Goode (torn pectoral muscle).
The Eagles signed offensive linemen Wade Smith and Kevin Graf and linebacker Emmanuel Acho.
Smith is a former Pro Bowl selection with the Houston Texans.
If Smith can't start, Dennis Kelly will agaisnt the Indianapolis Colts.
