Ex-Bengal Webster gets sentenced to 12 years

Former Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Nate Webster, who was convicted on four counts of having sex with an underage teenage girl, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison, according to the Associated Press.

The girl was 15 at the time of the encounter in 2009, although Webster would only admit to having sex with the girl from the time she was age 16, which is the age of legal consent in Ohio.

Webster's attorney said he plans to appeal the verdict. Prosecutors also said Webster rejected a plea deal that would have given him four years in prison.
