Ex-Raven returner Lewis arrested again
Former Baltimore Ravens receiver and kick returner Jermaine Lewis was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license, driving on a revoked license and failure to have his four-year-old son in a safety belt, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Lewis, 37, returned a kickoff for a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXV, but has found the going much tougher apparently in life after football.
It is not Lewis' first run-in with the law regarding his vehicle as he was charged with reckless driving and resisting arrest in an incident last August when police had to use a Taser to catch him. He is scheduled for a May court appearance to answer for those charges.
Lewis told the arresting officer that he had gone out to get some food for his son and some heat for the house because his wife is in jail.
