Ex-Titans DB coach Robertson joins Lions

Marcus Robertson, fired by the Tennessee Titans as secondary coach, has latched on with an old friend in Jim Schwartz, and will serve as assistant secondary coach for the Detroit Lions, says Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com.

The addition of Robertson continues the transformation of the Lions in to Titans North, as Schwartz, defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham, defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch and linebacker Stephen Tulloch all had ties to Tennessee.

The big question is whether the hiring of Robertson might be paving the way for the Lions to land free agent secondary help like Cortland Finnegan, whom the Lions would certainly have interest in on the open market, or perhaps safety Michael Griffin, who is also scheduled to be a free agent.
