Falcons cut Justin Durant and William Moore
The Atlanta Falcons cut linebacker Justin Durant and safety William Moore. “We want to thank both of these guys for their commitment and work ethic,” Falcons coach Dan Quinn said. “They battled through injuries to give everything they had for their teammates this season and I will always be appreciative of that.” Durant was due a $1.75 million base salary next season, but it costs them $833,000 in dead money. Moore had a $4.5 million base salary next season, but are charged $3.3 million against the cap. Durant is a former Jacksonville Jaguars second-round draft pick. Moore is a former Falcons second-round draft pick. Follow me on Twitter: @AaronWilson_NFL Aaron Wilson covers the Texans for The Houston Chronicle.
