Falcons get down to 53

The Atlanta Falcons got down to the 53-man roster today without any major surprises.

The biggest name released was probably fullback Dan Klecko, whose contract was terminated. The Falcons did waive Keith Zinger, a solid blocking tight end from LSU, and they purged Chevis Jackson, who spent most of last season as the nickel cornerback.

Waived were tight end Robbie Agnone, wide receivers Troy Bergeron and Tim Buckley, running back Dimitri Nance, center Blake Schlueter, wide receivers Andy Strickland and Ryan Wolfe, safeties Rafael Bush and Eric Brock, cornerback Dominique Daniels, linebacker Weston Johnson, defensive ends Maurice Lucas and Emmanuel Stephens, guard Jose Valdez and linebacker Bear Woods. The Falcons also waived-injured wide receiver Brandyn Harvey.
