Falcons re-sign Eric Weems to two-year, $3 million deal

The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed wide receiver and special teams ace Eric Weems to a two-year, $3 million deal, according to a source. Weems, 29, is expected to have an increased role on offense with Harry Douglas being cut. Weems had 10 catches for 102 yards and two touchdowns with Atlanta last season. He played with the Falcons before spending two seasons with the Chicago Bears. Weems was voted to the Pro Bowl once in 2010. He led the team with 13 special-teams tackles last season.
