Falcons say Michael Turner's groin injury not serious
The Atlanta Falcons got on track Sunday by crushing the visiting Arizona Cardinals and it could have been a costly defeat.
But coach Mike Smith said that running back Michael Turner, who missed much of the game after suffering a groin injury, is going to be fine, according to Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
That’s good news for the Falcons, who experienced too much life without Turner last season. He carried just nine times or 75 yards against the Cardinals. The upside of it was Jason Snelling came in and ran for 129 yards and two touchdowns because No. 2 running back Jerious Norwood was sidelined. That’s a sign of some solid depth. Either that, or the Cardinals are going to struggle more than imagined.
