Favre continues high school workouts

Brett Favre’s ankle looked good today working out at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, Miss., and he was downright elusive on his surgically repaired ankle when it came to dodging some reporters.

Farve worked out again today with the high school kids as he presumable prepares for his 20th season in the NFL. Whether or not he’s actually returning, though, will be debated until Favre poops or gets off the pot. He had surgery on his left ankle in May. Dr. James Andrews, who performed the procedure, said everything went well. Now, Favre is testing out the ankle and the arm.

With the World Cup over and LeBron and his entourage partying on in South Beach, the focus turns to Favre. It might stay there for a while. Some seem to think that Favre will wait until the Vikings wrap things up at Minnesota State University-Mankato in mid-August before he returns. In fact, Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson said that would be fine for him because it would give the backup more work himself in camp.

Favre wasn’t ready to discuss his plans for the future with reporters waiting for him outside the high school. According to the Associated Press, he looked outside the field house and then had a friend come and bring his truck – which reporters were waiting next to – around to the building before driving off with just a wave.
