Florida RB Matt Jones runs 4.53, had dinner with Mike Tomlin, Kevin Colbert
Florida running back Matt Jones ran the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout today.
Jones had dinner with Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert, according to a league source.
Jones is projected as a third-round to fourth-round draft target.
The 6-foot-2, 235-pounder improved on his NFL scouting combine time of 4.61 seconds. Jones bench pressed 225 pounds 20 times and had a 31 1/2 inch vertical leap and a 9-4 broad jump and didn't do the three-cone drill due to a hamstring injury.
Jones rushed for 817 yards and six touchdowns last season.
He finished his career with 1,431 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns.
