Last summer, the NFL Network brought all 65 preseason games to its airwaves, showing all of them in high definition and 12 of them live.

According to a report in USA Today, the league’s network and NFL.com will announce today a package in which all preseason games will stream live online. The league will air 54 games live online in a package that will cost $40. It does not include the 11 games on national television.

NFL Network is scheduled to show 10 preseason games live this summer. The preseason package is yet another way the league is capitalizing on the immense popularity of the league. It’s a sign again that owners and players will be boneheaded if they cannot work out a labor agreement.
