Foster says big payday won't change him

Arian Foster says a big contract won't change his approach or the way he plays football.

Foster told that the $43.5 million extension ($21 million guaranteed) he received from the Houston Texans won't be a factor for him in terms of motivation and that he doesn't anticipate becoming less driven as some players do once big money comes their way. In fact, he says he wants to use the money he will make to give back more to his community.

“Money reveals you,” he said. “I think it’ll bring out the philanthropist in me, the person I want to be who gives back. I’ll make sure my family’s future is secured. I’m not one to buy a car or chains and jewelry, not anything against those guys who do, to each his own.

“But that’s just not my style. I’m more about building a future and foundation for myself and bettering my community.”
