Fresno State to extend Hill past 2010

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Fresno State coach Pat Hill will get a contract extension to stay at the school beyond the 2010 season.

Hill and the school announced Sunday night that the sides have agreed to a new contract. Hill's current deal expires after next season.

Final details of the contract are still being worked out. The two sides will work out terms after the holidays and make a formal announcement when the deal is signed.

Hill has a 100-65 record in 11 seasons at Fresno State. He has led the Bulldogs to their 10th bowl game in his tenure. Fresno State (8-4) plays Wyoming in the New Mexico Bowl on Saturday.
