Garrett Wolfe popped $7,500 for horse collar tackle

The NFL has fined Chicago Bears running back Garrett Wolfe $7,500 for a horse-collar tackle in Saturday’s preseason game against the Oakland Raiders at Soldier Field.

Wolfe was called for a 15-yard penalty when he brought down Raiders returner Rock Cartwright from behind along the sideline. That makes playing in the game an expensive proposition for Wolfe, especially considering he is on the roster bubble, battling Kahlil Bell for the third running back position.

Per Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune, Wolfe got the letter from the league that no one wants to receive, a fine notice. He can appeal.
