Giants activate Jason Pierre-Paul, to play Sunday, Jon Beason to IR

The New York Giants placed defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul on their active roster, lifting him from a roster exemption.
He damaged his hand badly, losing a finger during a fireworks accident.
Pierre-Paul had 12 1/2 sacks last season.
They placed linebacker Jon Beason on injured reserve with knee and ankle injuries.
Pierre-Paul is a two-time Pro Bowl selection.
The Giants cut nose tackle Louis Nix III and promoted cornerback Tramain Jacobs from the practice squad.
