Giants bring back Rhett Bomar on practice squad
Rhett Bomar could not win the backup job to Eli Manning in training camp, but the New York Giants still think enough of him to have him around.
Bomar was one of seven players the Giants announced have signed with their practice squad, ensuring he’ll be around for at least the beginning of a second season with the club.
The Giants also announced that tight ends Jake Ballard and Bear Pascoe, offensive lineman Jim Cordle, defensive lineman Nate Collins and defensive backs Seth Williams and Sha'reff Rashad were signed.
Collins is an intriguing prospect from Virginia who could draw interest from other teams during the season.
