Giants complain about accomodations in Albany dorms

Oh, my back!

That is what the New York Giants are saying these days.

According to ESPN New York, at least five players have experience back issues during training camp and they’re blaming it on … beds in the dorm rooms at the University of Albany.

Even though the team provided the majority of them, the players are blaming the beds and some players, as is the case in a lot of places, came prepared with their own mattresses. Per the report, linemen Will Beatty, James Brewer, Marvin Austin and Martin Parker and cornerback Terrell Thomas have dealt with back issues.

“I mean, everybody has been complaining about their back because the beds in the dorm are fairly hard,” defensive tackle Linval Joseph said. “My back be hurting, too. I think it is just the bed."

Leave it to colorful tight end Martellus Bennett, a newcomer, to really put it in perspective.

“Every bed is small. You can't put a damn dinosaur in a twin-sized bed ... all the beds, unless you got a California king, the beds are going to be small to these guys,” he said. “If a normal-sized human jumps into a regular-sized bed, it fits perfectly. A large big human jumps into a regular-sized bed, the bed is too small.”

The club says it has not received any complaints about the sleeping conditions.
