Giants cut Mathias Kiwanuka

The New York Giants cut veteran defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka after nine seasons with the NFC East franchise. Kiwanuka, 31, being cut saves the Giants $4.825 million against the salary cap. Kiwanuka had 28 tackles and 2.5 sacks last season after playing 11 games and ending the season on injured reserve with a knee injury.
