Giants cutting Jon Beason, Geoff Schwartz and Will Beatty

The New York Giants cut three veterans Wednesday: offensive tackle Will Beatty, offensive guard Geoff Schwartz and middle linebacker Jon Beason. Beason may retire. Beatty signed a five-year, $37.5 million contract in 2013, but missed all of last season with a torn pectoral. He has a $9.175 million salary-cap figure for next season. Schwartz, who signed a four-year, $16.8 million deal in 2014, played 13 games in two seasons. Beason, 31, had a strong career.
