Giants give one-year contract extension to Tom Coughlin

The New York Giants have finalized a one-year contract extension for longtime head coach Tom Coughlin through the 2016 season. Coughlin is a two-time Super Bowl winner. He's entering his 12th season with the Giants. Coughlin is 96-80 in the regular season and 8-3 in the playoffs. Coughlin won championships over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI. This season is Coughlin's 20th as a head coach. Including eight years with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Coughlin is 164-140 in the regular season and 12-7 in the playoffs.
