Giants lose MLB Jonathan Goff for entire season

The New York Giants have been forced to deal with the unfortunate storyline of injuries through training camp and preseason.

Now, five days before the start of the season they have another significant one to overcome. Middle linebacker Jonathan Goff will miss the entire season after suffering a torn ACL. The news was first reported by Pro Football Talk.

The Giants already lost arguably their best cornerback Terrell Thomas when he suffered a torn ACL in the second preseason game against the New York Giants. Linebacker Clint Sintim will miss the entire season with a knee injury. Cornerbacks Bruce Johnson (Achilles) and Brian Witherspoon (ACL) will miss the season along with rookie defensive tackle Marvin Austin (pectoral muscle).

Oh yeah, defensive end Osi Umenyiora is working his way back from arthroscopic knee surgery.

The Giants are expected to take a look at Kawika Mitchell, a former member of the team, to replace Goff.
