Giants visiting injured pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul

The New York Giants' trainer Ronnie Barnes is visiting injured defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul in a Miami hospital today. It's a fact-finding mission at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Pierre-Paul injured his hand badly during a fireworks accident on July 4 and the Giants need to know the severity of his burns. Pierre-Paul is the Giants' franchise player, at $14.813 million. He's expected to resume his career, but has cost himself a long-term deal at this time. It's unclear if he has nerve damage or how bad the burns are.
