Greg Hardy appeals 10-game suspension

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy has appealed his 10-game suspension. The NFL Players Association filed an appeal of his NFL punishment Friday, requesting a neutral arbitrator. Hardy was suspended by the NFL for violating the NFL personal-conduct policy, stemming from his domestic violence case. The case was dismissed when former girlfriend Nicole Holder declined to cooperate after reaching a financial settlement with Hardy, who allegedly beat her up and choked her. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, in a disciplinary letter, cited sufficient credible evidence that Hardy engaged in conduct that violated NFL policies in multiple respects and with aggravating circumstances."
