Greg Jennings shows up for workouts with Larry Fitzgerald
Greg Jennings has joined forces with Larry Fitzgerald during the lockout to improve his game.
The Green Bay Packers wide receiver is in Arizona working out with the Cardinals in the group that Fitzgerald has organized by bringing in retired veteran wide receivers coach Jerry Sullivan to work with the group.
And when Fitzgerald was a no-show on Tuesday but Jennings and Sullivan were there, well, Jennings had some fun.
“Larry's always in my ear about getting back out here,” Jennings told Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic, “but he doesn't have a family. I always have to talk it over with the missus. It's all in the game plan she puts together for the offseason.”
That’s what made it amusing when Fitzgerald didn’t attend Tuesday’s workout because he was out of town.
“I stay on top of him because he tries to say he outworks me every day,” Jennings said. “You see he's not here, and I am here. I got to pick Coach Sully's brain without Larry being in me ear, trying to move me out of his house.”
