Gronkowski, Amendola listed as questionable

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski and wide receiver Danny Amendola aren't expected to play Sunday night against the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN.

Both are listed as questionable.

Gronkowski had offseason forearm and back surgeries. Amendola has a groin injury.

Amendola got hurt in the first game.

Gronkowski hasn't played since last season.

Offensive tackle tackle Sebastian Vollmer is questionable with a foot injury, as are Kyle Arrington (groin), Nate Ebner (ankle), Will Svitek (knee) and Leon Washington (thigh).

The Patriots ruled out special-teams ace Matthew Slate (wrist).

For the second consecutive week, the Patriots also will be without their top special-teams performer, as captain Matthew Slater has been ruled out due to a wrist injury.

Falcons star running back Steven Jackson is out with a hamstring injury. Questionable: wide receivers Julio Jones (knee) and Roddy White (ankle) and cornerback Asante Samuel (thigh).
