Gronkowski has surgery on injured ankle

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his injured ankle, according to Liz Mullen of Sports Business Journal.

Gronkowski suffered the injury in the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens, but did manage to play in the Super Bowl against the New York Giants, though he was not as effective as normal for the Patriots, who lost, 21-17.

No word on how long before Gronkowski's ankle will be well enough to allow him to dance shirtless on stage again.
