Gunther Cunnigham lays down the law for Ricky Williams
Gunther Cunningham has delivered a message to Ricky Williams.
Don’t try anything shady with his defensive backs.
The defensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions was in the middle of answering a question about the wildcat offense of the Miami Dolphins when he veered off course, all on his own, to a little tangent.
“Ricky Williams looks as good as ever,'' Cunningham said, according to Tom “Killer” Kowalski of MLive.com. “All I can say to Ricky Williams - and I want him to know this - if he hits one of our (defensive backs) in the back on a crack block then I'm coming on the field. I mean, he's had a couple of knockouts but they've been not legal, I'll just put it at that.''
After that, Cunningham went right back to talking about the wildcat. Stay tuned with this one.
