Hakeem Nicks, 6 other Giants miss practice
The New York Giants held seven players out of practice today but none are expected to be in danger of missing Super Bowl XLVI.
It was the first of three practices for the Giants through Saturday before the team finishes preparations to depart for Indianapolis.
Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, who suffered a shoulder injury in the NFC Championship Game, was out. Also missing were center David Baas and running back Ahmad Bradshaw. Cornerbacks Will Blackmon and Corey Webster and linebackers Chase Blackburn and Jacquian Williams were also out.
“Just trying to be smart and not aggravate something that's there that we'll be able to manage in a short amount of time," Giants coach Tom Coughlin said.
Bradshaw has been getting regular practice time off this season. He should be good to go and Nicks is also expected to be fine.
