Hakeem Nicks: 'I feel pretty good right now'
Hakeem Nicks practiced on Friday for the third consecutive day, the first time he has accomplished that all season.
Nicks will play on Sunday against the Washington Redskins, according to the New York Daily News, and he is feeling much better after being slowed by foot and knee injuries.
“I feel pretty good right now,” Nicks said, according to the report. “Getting my way back to fully 100 percent, that’s my goal every day, just to be better than I was the week before.”
Nicks sat out three straight games after injuring his knee late in a Week 2 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played last Sunday at San Francisco and made the decision to increase his time on the practice field.
“I feel like practicing on (the foot and knee) is the start to breaking it back in and getting better,” Nicks said. “I took that approach this week, and got the green light (from Giants doctors) to do it. It’s definitely been getting better.”
The key, of course, will be for Nicks to make it through the game without any setbacks. The Giants need him on the field and he’s been injury riddled since spring.
