Haley not taking over play-calling for Chiefs

To say that the Kansas City Chiefs offense has struggled thus far this season is putting it as mild as a South Florida winter.

In Sunday's 20-17 loss to the San Diego Chargers, the Chiefs had their best team performance of the season thus far, and it still took the offense until the third quarter to gain a first down.

There was speculation that perhaps head coach Todd Haley might assume the play-calling duties and in a sense demote offensive coordinator Bill Muir. But Haley said that is not the case, telling the Kansas City Star that, "Bill Muir is our playcaller."

In fairness to Muir, the Chiefs have lost star running back Jamaal Charles and tight end Tony Moeaki for the season, but that hasn't stopped fans and media from questioning the offense's production and play calls.
