Hasselbeck gets his No. 8 in unusual way
Matt Hasselbeck, who recently signed with the Indianapolis Colts to back up Andrew Luck, has worn No. 8 since he played for the Seattle Seahawks back in 2001.
He wanted the number with the Colts, but found that it was occupied by Chandler Harnish, whom the Colts drafted last year as Mr. Irrelevant, wiht the draft's final pick.
Hasselbeck said he would give Harnish $8,000 in exchange for No. 8 if he could make a half-court basketball shot in one try.
Harnish did so, as you can see here on NFL.com, and donated the cash to a charity called Dollars for Scholars.
