Hasselbeck splits reps, should start on Sunday

The Tennessee Titans had planned on letting Matt Hasselbeck rest his sprained right elbow on Wednesday.

Instead, according to TitanInsider.com, the Titans quarterback split reps with rookie Jake Locker, making mostly short throws, and should be under center when Tennessee hosts Tampa Bay on Sunday.

“I think he was fine. We didn't ask him to throw a lot of deep balls today. I think we'll be cautious there,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said. “If it was up to us, we probably wouldn't have practiced him at all like we have the last few weeks just to rest him in general, not necessarily because of the arm, but he wanted to be out here and get some throws and do some things.'

So it appears that the Jake Locker Era will have to wait for now, as Hasselbeck appears healthy enough to keep the reins of the offense.
