Hasselbeck watches; Locker limited in Titans practice
Matt Hasselbeck was a spectator at Wednesday's Tennessee Titans practice. That part was expected because of his sore left calf.
What was not so much expected was that rookie Jake Locker, who would get the start if Hasselbeck can't go on Sunday, was a spectator for much of practice as well on Wednesday.
Locker was limited because of sore ribs from a blitz by New Orleans Saints quarterback Tracy Porter on Sunday, and, according to TitanInsider.com, did not appear to make any throws on Wednesday.
Coach Mike Munchak said Locker should be a full participant by Thursday.
“It was just some soreness. We were careful with him today with him. He did a lot of things in the run game. We kind of limited his throws in practice, but nothing that will keep him from playing on Sunday,” Munchak said.
As for Hasselbeck, Munchak is holding out hope that the veteran can start against winless Indianapolis, but said the decision be made one way or another well before Sunday.
“I think our decision will be made before Sunday. I don't think the decision will have to wait until Sunday,” Munchak said.
