Hasselbeck will start for Titans despite calf injury
Matt Hasselbeck was a full participant in the Tennessee Titans' Friday practice, and did well enough on his injured left calf that Coach Mike Munchak pronounced him ready to start on Sunday, barring any unforeseen setbacks.
“He looked good. Matt was able to do quite a bit,” Titans coach Mike Munchak told TitanInsider.com. “He looks good. He looked like we hoped he would, and I assume he'll be able to play and start on Sunday.”
Hasselbeck's backup, rookie Jake Locker, also got first-team reps throughout the week and would make his first career start, if Hasselbeck should have a setback between now and kickoff against the Indianapolis Colts.
