Haynesworth to report tomorrow

While Donovan McNabb will not be coming to camp with the Washington Redskins due to a pending trade to the Vikings, Albert Haynesworth will be. Agent Chad Speck has confirmed that Haynesworth will be reporting to the Redskins tomorrow and their scheduled opening of training camp.

Haynesworth has been much maligned after signing an historic $100 million contract on the first day of free agency in 2009, with $41 million guaranteed. He has been criticized by fans, media and his own teammates over these past two seasons.

Having inherited Haynesworth and his massive contract when arriving this past year, coach Mike Shanahan and general manager Bruce Allen tried to trade Haynesworth prior to his $21 million option bonus last April, but were unsuccessful in doing so.

Now Haynesworth will report to camp for the 2011 season, where he is scheduled to make $5.4 million. Few expect him to last very long, but for now, while McNabb is not a Redskin after one season, Haynesworth still is after two.
