Henne out for season, Dolphins sign Rosenfels
Did the Miami Dolphins just become the leaders in the race for Andrew Luck?
Whether they did or not, the Dolphins need a new starting quarterback after Chad Henne was placed on injured reserve as he will have surgery on his non-throwing shoulder. In his place, the Dolphins signed veteran Sage Rosenfels, who will have the bye week to get an understanding of the offense before the winless Dolphins travel to face the New York Jets on Oct. 17.
Rosenfels, who was with the Dolphins from 2002-05, played for the New York Giants last season and also has spent time with the Washington Redskins, Houston Texans and Minnesota Vikings.
For now, Matt Moore inherits the starting role for the Dolphins.
