Holliday going after combine 40 record, too

By Wes Bunting and Joe Fortenbaugh

INDIANAPOLIS—Clemson wide receiver Jacoby Ford isn’t the only player going after Chris Johnson’s combine 40-yard-dash record.

LSU wideout Trindon Holliday wants in on some of that action, too.

We had a chance to catch up with Holliday at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis Thursday morning and asked him what his 40 time would be this week.

Said Holliday, “I’m hoping to run 4.23.”

It’s probably not a coincidence that Holliday said 4.23, when the fastest 40 time on record at the combine is 4.24, run by Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson in 2008.

Keep in mind, Holliday was a three-time NCAA All-American in track while at LSU.

Before you make a decision as to whether or not Holliday can top Johnson’s record, be sure to check out the kid’s speed in the video below.
