In need of corner help, Cowboys add Frank Walker
Banged up in the secondary the Dallas Cowboys are not wasting time adding some help.
The club will sign veteran Frank Walker to a contract after he worked out for the team this morning, according to ESPN Dallas.
Cowboys coach Jason Garrett was a teammate of Walker’s with the New York Giants in 2003. Walker was released by the Tennessee Titans at the end of the summer.
He steps into a situation where help could be needed immediately. Mike Jenkins has a bruised shoulder and a hyperextended knee and Orlando Scandrick is suffering from a high ankle sprain that could have him on the sideline for a month. The Cowboys hope Terence Newman will return this week after sitting out the opener with a groin injury.
Dallas must make a corresponding roster move to create room for Walker.
