Injuries pile up for Bears in big victory over Vikings

There were so many players banged up that Lovie Smith had to bring a list with him to the podium on Sunday afternoon.

The Chicago Bears worked over the Minnesota Vikings 28-10 at Soldier Field to snap a two-game losing streak, but they paid a steep price in the process.

Five starters were knocked out of the game with injuries and perennial Pro Bowl linebacker Lance Briggs was hobbled. Cornerback Charles Tillman (ankle), running back Matt Forte (ankle), wide receiver Devin Hester (concussion) and guards Lance Louis (knee) and Chris Spencer (knee) did not finish the game because of injuries.

A team that has been mostly healthy for the bulk of the season will now have a full training room, and the injuries on the offensive line are a real concern as benched right tackle Gabe Carimi had to fill in for 1
