Inside the Ravens draft room

32 regular season wins. Four playoff victories. One trip to the AFC Championship.

John Harbaugh has achieved quite a bit during his three years as head coach of the Baltimore Ravens. But does this team have what it takes to get past the Steelers and into the Super Bowl?

2010 marked the eighth consecutive season that the Ravens have finished in the top-ten in the NFL in total defense. However, future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis turns 36 in May and Pro Bowl safety Ed Reed has missed ten games due to injury over the last two years.

And lets not forget about the problems on the offensive side of the football. The Ravens ranked 22nd in total offense (322.9 yds/gm) and 16th in scoring (22.3 pts/gm) last season. More will be expected from quarterback Joe Flacco in 2011.

The Ravens currently possess eight picks (1.26, 2.26, 3.26, 4.26, 5.26, 6.26, 7.22, 7.25) in April’s draft. Here’s what the National Football Post thinks Baltimore should do:

John Eisenberg of CSN Baltimore talks with the NFP’s Matt Bowen about some of the pressing needs facing the Ravens this offseason:
