Is LaRon Landry blaming Redskins for his current injury?

It’s been a challenging preseason for Washington Redskins safety LaRon Landry.

First, he was on the side as he rehabilitated a strained left Achilles tendon. That forced him to miss the beginning of training camp and preseason. Now, he’s on the shelf with a strained hamstring that forced him to sit out the final two preseason games.

The frustration appears to have mounted for Landry, who may be trying to cast some blame for his situation on the team. According to Mike Jones of the Washington Post, Landry has had two “cryptic” Twitter posts recently that seem to point the finger at the club. The latest tweet has been deleted but not before Jones picked it up.

“Uuhhh oo it ain’t my fault...blame the genius circus staff for the rush. wouldve been there 2wks ago. Im [sorry] but saga [continues],” Landry wrote.

That message came on the heels of one from Saturday when Landry dropped some choice words we don’t use on this web site.

“Dont u hate when u absolutely know something 200% and dumb. . . still do the opposite of what u tell them!!! Set backs. . . !!!”

When he’s spoken to reporters, Landry hasn’t had much to say other than he works to get better each day. A team spokesman told Jones that coach Mike Shanahan would address the issue today. Landry put up big numbers last season but appeared in only nine games. It appears this campaign isn’t off to a healthy start and ultimately it doesn’t matter where the blame lies. The defense needs him.
