Is Rex conceding AFC East to Patriots?

With seven games still to play, it sounds as if New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is conceding the AFC East race to the New England Patriots - even as the Pats have only a one-game edge.

Yes, the Patriots have now beaten the Jets twice to own the tiebreaker over them, but New England is only 6-3, while the Jets and Buffalo Bills both stand a game back at 5-4.

"I look at it realistically," Ryan said of the division race, according to the New York Daily News.

Not exactly the mantra you want to hear from your coach, especially if your coach is usually full of brashness and bravado like Ryan normally is. While the Patriots may be in control of the division right now, remember just a week ago, they were being written off by some as has beens themselves.
