Jags receiver says Jets' Revis 'overhyped'

Jacksonville Jaguars receiver Jason Hill said that New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis gets more attention and is "overhyped' because of where he plays in a big media market like New York.

"This is a league full of great players. I think sometimes they get overhyped," Hill said in a story that appeared in the New York Daily News using quotes from the Florida Times-Union.

While there is plenty of attention surrounding Revis Island, Hill makes the point that some NFL outposts like Jacksonville is an island itself, where the spotlight doesn't shine nearly as bright as it does on Broadway.

"He just made a lot more plays on TV than we've made being here in Jacksonville," Hill said. "He's a good player. We respect him.

"Hopefully he respects us because we're going to bring it just like they're going to bring it."

Perhaps Hill has a point. His quotes went a bit under the radar nationally when it came out in Jacksonville two days ago, but once the quotes were picked up in New York, it garnered much more attention and adds a nice little twist to Sunday's game.
