Jaguars claim Taylor Price
The Jacksonville Jaguars are in desperate need of help in the passing game, as evidenced in Monday night's 38-14 shellacking by the San Diego Chargers.
So the Jaguars went sifting through the scrap heap and on Tuesday claimed receiver Taylor Price off waivers from the New England Patriots. Price was a third-round pick of the Patriots in 2010, but had just three catches in nearly two seasons in New England.
The Jaguars also signed safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah to the active roster form their practice squad. To make room on the 53-man roster for the two signees, the Jags waived tight end Fendi Onobun and put defensive end John Chick on injured reserve with a knee injury suffered Monday night.
