Jaguars cut 11 players

The Jacksonville Jaguars cut 11 players as they got down to 79 players.

That included former New York Giants wide receiver Ramses Barden and former Jaguars sixth-round cornerback Mike Harris.

The Jaguars also waived-injured defensive tackle David Carter wiht a knee injury.

They also cut linebacker Allen Bradford, guard Antoine Caldwell, linebacker Josh Hull, running back Harvey Unga, safety Joe Young, center Patrick Lewis, long snapper Charley Hughlett and wide receiver Kenny Shaw.

“This is always a tough day when you have to make these decisions,” Jaguars general manager David Caldwell said. “We appreciate all the work these men did into the building of our team. They came to practice every day and competed. We wish them nothing but the best in the future.”
