Jaguars' Khan 'embarrassed' by team's play

It seems Bud Adams isn't the only unhappy owner in the AFC South.

While Adams has a 50-year head start on his frustration, Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan tells the Jaguars All Access via Florida Times-Union of his own discontent with the way his club has been playing this season.

“It’s embarrassing but there are better days ahead. I’m deeply grateful to the fans for supporting us. They’ve done their part. Now we have to do our part,” Khan said. “Whether it’s a football team or an auto parts company, you need three things: Right people in the right spots, processing and decision making that’s right and you need support from fans, sponsors or owners. We have to finish the season. You can’t be rushing to judgment. I wish life was that simple, that you could hire and fire people and things would change. I am committed to building a sustainable, winning organization.

“I’m not a talent evaluator so I’ll let you guys be the judge of that. My job is to get the people who evaluate the talent. Over time, they’re going to get it right. I don’t want to speak on the talent. The results, we know. Obviously, if you’re a Jaguars fans, Jaguars player or coach, front office, this is not a good thing. We have to move on and produce better results.”

For now, it sounds as if Khan is willing to show some patience in the early stages of his ownership. But it also sounds as if he won't stand for the current level of performance for any long period of time.
